Friluftsliv: A Sustainable Farmstead

Prototype design for a sustainable net-zero farmstead in central North Dakota. The 'eco-technic' design of the farmstead reflects the progressive intentions of the clients who will be applying the principals of permaculture to transform their historic family farmland into a sustainable and pedagogical landscape. The design process entails ongoing multidisciplinary collaboration with experts in advanced and innovative solar energy technologies, agriculture/horticulture, landscape architecture, interior design, construction techniques, and environmental control systems.
